The Snout

Marlborough Sounds

8km out-and-back.

The drive to the trail-head is a one sealed way loop road. Near the start is a sign with info about more bike and foot trails in the Victoria Domain. You could start this run at the i-Site in Picton and run trails the whole way.

Got some time to kill waiting for the ferry in Picton? The out-and-back is a rolling ridge run of about 8.2km with plenty of good view spots to admire Queen Charlotte Sound. There is a picnic table (and a toilet) at 2.3km which makes a good turnaround spot if you have less time/energy.
